[CAR-PGa] RPG projects in the works, after years on the backburner

Greetings,

I have had a number of RPG projects on the back burner for many years,
and they are now moving to the front. I thought I would share with
folks here the early stages of development.

I am hoping to have beta testing ready by October, and (very
tentatively) try to launch by November the following:

The GMs currently listed on the site are interested in the
possibilities, we will see how it turns out as far as anyone actually
willing to pay for something that most enjoy for free. It might still
be too soon, but I think I should quit procrastinating. I first started
testing it out around 1998, and it was definitely too early then. Took
another stab at it around 2007, and the remote access/video technology
still wasn't quite there yet for non-techies.

I welcome your thoughts.
Happy Gaming!

Beginning in 1985, and formalized in 2004, The RPG Research Project is
a global and interdisciplinary community effort to research the effects
of role-playing games (RPGs) in all formats: tabletop (TRPG),
live-action (LARP), computer-based (CRPG), & solo adventures (CYOA).
This open community website was created in 2004 as a central repository

[CAR-PGa] D&D portrayed in TV show

The show is called iZombie. In an earlier season, it was revealed that a crime boss (whose name is Stacey Boss) had played D&D as a kid.

In a more recent episode, several of the main characters played D&D as part of an effort to solve a crime. It was a generally favorable portrayal of the game.
