Greetings,
Thought I would let you know we may be finalizing and signing a lease
on a 3,000+ square foot property this week that will house the RPG
Community Center / RPG Research Center / RPG Museum.
We should have a move-in date in February.
It is a major fixer upper property so that we could afford the square
footage.
We hope to be broadcasting from the property shortly after signing.
We'll be doing a huge donation push to help our volunteers with
supplies while we provide the "elbow grease" for the cleanup, painting,
and upgrades.
It is a 3-year lease on two buildings and a length of property
(additional high-fence enclosed 50'x50' parking area for the bus and
trailers).
The rear building is more manageable and we'll setup operations and
community center there first. The front building is a house built in
1889! It will take many months (all year) to get that all fixed up
enough for the public to access, but will be the RPG Museum space.
It isn't 100% final yet, and could fall through, but it seems 90%
likely. I did a walk through with the landlord last week, and then
another 8 volunteers came down Saturday and helped with a more detailed
2-hour walk through, mapping, and checklist creation process.
Thought I would give you all the inside scoop. :-)
