[CAR-PGa] D&D and board games in libraries - American Libraries

By Car
Hey, y'all!

The cover story for the November/December issue of American Libraries —the magazine of the American Library Association—is "Distance & Dragons," a report on libraries running virtual D&D groups. There is likewise a story on libraries using board games to teach critical thinking skills in young people, which may be of interest. Scans of the relevant material are attached.

It is with a heavy heart that I report two deaths this month, one you probably know, the other you certainly don't. They are both important to me.

Several months ago we launched an infographic that detailed some general advice on role-playing during a pandemic. We received some criticism upon release, not the least of which being that depending on which region you live in, the advice on playing with a certain number of players (in this case, 10) was too large or too small. Interest died down until recently, when I noticed the infographic was being shared again.
