the Middle TN State University student doing a RPG related social
survey. Apparently the boost that followed a lot of us linking and
discussing it on our respective sites really helped them boost survey
takers.
Anyways, recently another student emailed me, and to make it easy I'll
just post her email word for word below:
I received your contact information from Michelle Drury, who is doing
psychological research on gaming. She and I recently connected at
Middle Tennessee State University and discussed our similar research
interests. I am a graduate student at the sociology department at
MTSU and am conducting my thesis research on the social patterns and
preferences of MMORPG players. Specifically, I'm looking at the
development of gaming identity and how it may influence the
development of new social networks (i.e., the change from "real world"
to virtual social networks). Michelle suggested that you may be
interested in my research, and may be able to help me get my survey
out to areas of the gaming community that I have been unable to
reach. If you are interested, please check out my research website:
http://www.survey.frymanet.com. Please let me know if you have any
questions. Any help would be appreciated.

She also left some contact info that I'm not comfortable forwarding on
a public or semi-public location without her permission, so if you
need it just ask.
