[CAR-PGa] Calgary, Alberta: Concerning policy change regarding in store games.

This is most disturbing news.  Back in the bad old days, Sentry Box was a stalwart defender of  RPG when the Calgary Herald was associating the games with crime, witchcraft, and even ouija boards!

They may be defending store property with this, but they are doing more damage to gaming than the Herald ever did.  If such extreme vandalism is occuring, then kick out the group that is responsible.  If a single individual is responsible, take legal action.  But don't destroy the foundation that keeps a valuable store in business.  A given group may not generate that much business directly every time it meets.  However, it is promoting gaming, it is bringing in customers who will spend money, and the participants may actually buy something on days other than when the game sessions are held.  In the long run, this is far better than saying, "We are only interested in your money.  Pay up or get out."

If it would help, I would be glad to write them directly as CAR-PGa Chair; otherwise please relay my points - and my commendation for past service when it was needed most.  Be sure and keep us updated on this.
