I've been away from Gen Con for four years and in the interim it's
only grown. The dealer hall is bigger, there are more children of
gamers running about, and there are definitely more people in
costume. More importantly, I proved that you can do Gen Con with
young children. Our experiment was a (sometimes noisy) success,
although I'm not sure if our neighbors on either side of us in the
hotel would agree.
