I blogged in more depth about this, but it seemed odd that Whiz Kids had
"adult role-playing games" (as in sexual in context games, not RPG) but
did not have any paper and dice role-playing games approporiate for kids
at a store that claims to focus on games that will help kids with their
education "Smart Toys for Smart Kids" (their store clearly includes
games, board games, puzzles, etc. not just "toys").
I blogged in more detail here:
http://rpgresearch.com/blog/lack-of-rpgs-at-whiz-kids
I am considering maybe running around gathering questionnaire
information from these stores in Washington, Idaho, and Montana, related
to RPGs (explained in blog), to see if any interesting data appears.
Just thought others might appreciate the irony of what they did and did
not carry.
Happy gaming!

Mission: Clearly establish through rigorous scientific
testing the causal therapeutic and educational impact
of role playing gaming on participants.
"Holistic medicine treats the person rather than the disease,
its concern lies with the 'whole person' and with permitting
individuals to assume self-responsibility for their own health.
Whereas illness is the sole concern of 'traditional medicine',
holistic 'well medicine' deals with wellness and health promotion"
