[CAR-PGa] Status update on RPG Research Project, new facilities, and new brochure

Greetings everyone,

Sorry I've been so quiet for quite a few months, and I have a lot of
catching up to do on the previous posts from others on this list, but
my silence hasn't been from lack of activity or progress, actually quite
the opposite fortunately.

A lot has been going on toward building momentum for the RPG Research
project. I now have two professors interested in helping get things
rolling. One at Eastern Washington University in the Music department,
the other in Ohio at Walsh University.

Also, I now have facilities to begin putting groups together preparing
some dry-runs leading up to the "real" research study groups.

Additionally, one of the professors is helping me track down bio and
neurofeedback equipment that will be very helpful in some of the
research stages.

The project now has a dedicated phone number, mailing address, and
plenty of facilities space for study groups.

With a fixed address of operations, I finally have business cards, and
just about finished a new trifold brochure on the project.
Several gaming, comic, and hobby stores have indicated they will gladly
allow me to place brochure stands on their counters to encourage
awareness of the project locally.

The initial draft of the brochure is online now, it is still undergoing
proof reading final edits before submitting to the printers. Feel free
to check it out and comment. I still need to have a decent logo created,
and I have a specific idea to replace the front photo, but both will
take weeks to resolve, so the current setup will be used for a small
initial print run. I will be updating the website over the next few days
to better fit the language of the brochure.

More to come soon, cheers!

Mission: Clearly establish through rigorous scientific
testing the causal therapeutic and educational impact
of role playing gaming on participants.

Vision: It is hoped through the efforts of RPG
Research that it will be possible to clearly
define the specific causal therapeutic and
educational aspects of participation in role
playing gaming with the eventual possibility
of developing effective educational and
therapeutic modalities using role playing
games.

Community: This project involves participation from individuals
and organizations from around the world. The
RPG Research website is intended to be a central
repository where scientists, therapists, researchers
and other professionals as well as media and
laymen will be able to find all the information they
need on this expansive topic.

"Holistic medicine treats the person rather than the disease,
its concern lies with the 'whole person' and with permitting
individuals to assume self-responsibility for their own health.
Whereas illness is the sole concern of 'traditional medicine',
holistic 'well medicine' deals with wellness and health promotion"
