Job Title: SQL Developer with .Net Experience
Location: Nashville, TN                                          
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract      

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES – (The below listed duties are not all inclusive.  This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):
Essential Duties % of Total Job
Build high performing OLTP database applications using Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services & ASP.Net.  Common tasks include design and creation of database objects, creation of reports using SSRS, and building web forms and middle tier components. 50
Design and estimate effort of new features or sub-systems from business concept to detailed technical design 20
Participate in daily Scrum sessions – report progress, obstacles, next steps 10
Develop test scenarios to prove code/application performs according to specifications  10
Maintain all code files in TFS source code repository 5
Adhere to HealthStream policies (e.g., time-tracking, punctuality, coding standards, confidentiality compliance, and utilization of various company productivity and tracking software) 5
 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: What specialized, technical, or practical knowledge, skills, experience or abilities are needed to perform the job.  (Include degrees, certificates, licenses, or other bona fide job qualifications.)

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5+ years database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS
3+ years experience with the following: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or greater, ASP.Net and C#
1+ year agile development (e.g., Scrum) experience preferred
 
SKILLS REQUIRED (manual, verbal or mental manipulation of data or things):
Takes a complex problem and breaks into manageable parts
Thinks logically and critically
Ability to research & propose solutions to business problems
 
ABILITIES REQUIRED (work characteristics, behaviors, leadership abilities, etc.):
Must be self-driven individual who is a self-starter and takes ownership of tasks
Ability to function in development team lead role
Works collaboratively with others
Accurately and effectively communicates
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:
Describe the physical demands and normal or usual conditions under which the job is performed.
Physical requirements included: bend, sit, stand, kneel, crawl, turn/twist, and reach
Ability to see and hear well (either naturally or with correction) and speak clearly
Coordinate the movement of your eyes, hands or fingers
Frequent computer screen and keyboard use
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Describe the normal or usual conditions where work is performed.
Standard office environment and work hours (8:00 – 5:00)
Occasionally participates in after-hours software deployments
Potential for infrequent overnight travel to HealthStream office in Laurel (Baltimore), MD
