Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Short Description: Ohio Department of Health (ODH) has a need to augment their development staff. This project will focus on enhancements and bug fixes related to STD surveillance, case management and reporting. |
Complete Description: ODH has identified a need to make significant changes to the Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS) in support of the work being done by the STD program. ODRS is a web based application built using Microsoft technology such as; ASP.NET, .NET 4.0 and SQL 2008. This position will work as part of team consisting of four developers and one business analyst. This position will take their work direction from the team lead and application architect.

Required Skills:
C# (2.0, 3.5, 4.0)
Design and build SQL Server (2005/2008) objects
ASP.NET Web Form development
Developed code utilzing
AJAX.NETDesigning, developing and deploying .NET WCF
Create SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
Create and deploy SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
XML, XSLT
Developed and implemented JQuery code

Duties will include: Analyzing requirements and design the solution based on established application architecture and development standards. Establish priorities and schedules, develop and update project plans with key milestones and deliverables as required. Create C# code for ASP.NET forms based application. Create and modify SQL Server stored procedures, triggers & functions. Write SQL code to query, update or extract data. Create unit tests. Participate in system integration testing, fixing bugs and executing test scripts. Participate in system implementation efforts (UAT, test environment setup & end-user support). Write and/or provide content for system documentation. Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools and other environment specific software tools in support of the software development process. Work in a team environment using good communication skills, and provide weekly status reports to the project lead/manager. Participate in code reviews, walk-throughs, daily stand-ups and other project meetings.
Other: Working hours will be 5 days a week 8 hours/day starting no earlier than 7:00 A.M. and ending no later than 6:00 P.M. |
