Duration: 3-4 Months Contract 
 
Overview:
In need of an experienced SAP Web Dynpro for Java Developer to design, develop, test and document a custom SAP solution being build using SAP ECC, NetWeaver Portal and Workflow. The SAP Web Dynpro developer will analyze the business requirements, document test scripts, design the objects flow and develop the components. Developer resource will perform unit testing, system testing and support integration and UAT testing. Developer will work project & technical manager and to review the functional requirement, technical design and code review activities. Developer should be a team player in working with other team members onsite and offshore; must be flexible to work in overlapping hours with offshore team.
 
Developer must be able to understand advanced Web Dynpro and Java technologies to build a high perform Portal solution. Good communication skills--verbal, written and graphic—are required. To perform the necessary duties proficiently, the developer often uses word processing and spreadsheet software along with SAP NetWeaver technical tools. Developer must have sense of urgency in completing the assigned tasks with desired quality.
 
Responsibilities
Develop a Document based Specifications Management solution using SAP Web-Dynpro, SAP ECC 5.0 and SAP DMS Workflow. Leverage existing modules as a framework. Provide Application design and architecture guidance to technical development team.
Work with NetWeaver Developer Studio, CTS+, ECC 5.0, Developer Workplace and other necessary tools
Deploy and Debug the code to test and troubleshoot issues
Resource must be skilled in and understand in depth the end-to-end Web Dynpro framework back-end ECC table structure
Develop detailed test scripts based on functional requirements
Document technical specifications and data mapping document for assigned functional specifications
Lead off-shore resources to support development
Work on the assigned issues to resolve them in timely manner
Follow the standards and best practices in design, development and testing
Lead the Portal transport process by coordinating with backend objects transports
 
Skills Required
SAP Web Dynpro for Java - Design and Development of Portal UI experience (Must Have)
SAP (Must Have)
ABAP (Nice to have)
SAP Solution Manager (Nice to have)
 
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant curriculum or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in programming, analysis, design, and implementation of systems. This includes the following SAP skills preferably in an SAP NetWeaver Web Dynpro for Java, NetWeaver Portal 7.0 Ehp1, SAP ECC 5.0 Unicode environment: BAPI, ABAP RFC ,Adobe interactive forms'
Experience and knowledge in DMS (Nice to have)
Sound overall business knowledge and understanding of how IT impacts business functions and corporate profitability
Strong technical background with above skills
Highly motivated, self-starter who consistently works to meet deadlines
Team Player who will keep IT management informed of project status and elevate risks/issues in a timely manner
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong ability to express information and ideas clearly
