Day-to-Day
This position oversees the day-to-day operations in marketing communication and transactional email platform. In this position you will work with data center operations and other members of the team to support various types of servers across multiple data centers. You will also work closely with our application development teams to ensure that the applications are running as efficiently as possible on those servers. This includes, but is not limited to a variety of Linux and OS X application servers, as well as email servers (running third-party MTA software, Sendmail, Postfix, Anti-Spam software).

The ideal candidate for this role possesses a keen ability to drive peer teams to resolve problems quickly, as well as to push forward enhancement requests for our platforms. We are looking for a skilled multi-tasker, who is capable of juggling the variety of tasks effectively to get the job done. The ability to quickly ramp up and learn to support new features and meet scalability goals are key elements of this position.
Required:
Minimum 5 years UNIX experience (Linux, etc.) supporting an enterprise environment
Strong experience UNIX-based TCP/IP communications, shell scripting, DNS, SMTP, Postfix, Sendmail, Perl
Must be capable of independent problem-solving and self-direction
Must be able to work in a fast and agile environment
Familiarity with fundamental networking, distributed computing environment concepts including DNS, basic routing concepts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing justifications, training users in complex topics, writing status reports, documenting procedures, and interacting positively with other staff and management. Ability to work independently under limited direction. Strong team and collaborative skills are needed as well
Strong understanding of current information security concepts and best practices
Familiarity with change management concepts and escalation procedures
Ability to meet deadlines
