Position: Network Engineer
Duration: 1 to 2 Years
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Brief Description Of Assignment:
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining U.S. Steel's enterprise data network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, MAN, WLAN and Data Center networks. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
day-to-day technical support & troubleshooting
technical solution design
project management activities
On call support required, including participation in team on call (24/7) rotation; candidate must be willing to work flexible hours as demanded by outage / on-call activities and international team coordination needs.
Travel is estimated at 5%, commensurate with project demands. While there may be a potential need for travel, it will not be a recurring need.
Technical Skills Required:
LAN, WAN & WLAN technology in an enterprise environment including core routing (OSPF/BGP), switching (Cisco / Nexus), VPN/MPLS and Cisco wireless solution proficiency
