Job Title: SAS Programmer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Responsible for developing program specifications/detail design documents. Codes, tests and debugs applications programs. Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of business systems. Has participated in the application design of systems, including use of analytical techniques; Develops prototypes from functional specifications; Designs application sub-systems and small systems; Has participated in the development of functional specifications; Assists users in testing, training, and preparation for operations. 6+ yrs. of prior developer/programmer experience is required.

SAS Programmer Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this resource is gathering and clarifying requirements, developing a SAS based solution, testing, and implementing a process supporting the Enterprise Rewards program effort to capture and transfer points information to the Bank for client assignment. 

5+years experience across technical risk disciplines: Data Operations, Data Acquisition and Mining, Information Delivery, Solutions Development, Systems Testing, Reporting, and/or Business Intelligence.

2+ years experience working with Bank data and information systems 

Ability to understand business issues and translate those into quality technical solutions. 

Demonstrated technical ability to code in multiple environment including SAS, UNIX and Oracle.  SAS macros, SQL, FTP, JCL skills are necessary. 

Comfortable with data warehousing and metadata concepts.  

Knowledge of SAS ETL tool is a plus. 

Able to effectively prioritize initiatives and manage conflicts that arise while balancing time to market and quality concerns. 

Strong background in project management, technologies, systems testing, relationship management and operations. 

Working knowledge of the global financial service industry, and its trends and issues.
