Position: Data Modeler 

Duration: 6-12 month 

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Provides technical support and expertise for Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) supported in General Computing Services (GCS). Performs database configuration management, problem management, change management and maintenance. Analyzes and develops complex logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of Bank and business owner information systems requirements. Oversees the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues, and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models. Participates in an on-call rotation to respond to high priority incidents, service requests, and changes after normal business hours. 

Strong knowledge of Embarcadero ER/Studio (or Erwin) Data Modeling Tools. 

Solid data modeling skills to capture the aspects of data organization in hierarchies, aggregations, self referential relationship, data classification and sub-typing. 

Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and problem solving skills. 

Demonstrated ability to write code for database access, modification and construction including stored procedures. 

Comprehensive understanding of data management best practices.

Ability to work extended hours (15% of workdays) to meet deadlines and resolve complex and time-sensitive problems.   

Travel is required approximately 15% of time and includes overnight absences and multi-day trips. 

Ability to participate in an on-call rotation after normal business hours. 

Ability to exhibit strong data analysis skills in order to: (1) identify, review, and evaluate existing data structures; (2) construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams and  documents the process; (3) identify and document data quality issues and data patterns.
