Position: Microstrategy Application Developer

Location: Audubon, PA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

 

The Microstrategy Application Developer is responsible for the design, development and implementation of reporting and analytics capabilities utilizing Business Intelligence software platforms. This position creates robust reporting and data modeling solutions which align with the Company's strategic objectives and promotes business process efficiencies.  This person will be responsible for the definition, design, analysis, development, testing and installation of information technology report initiatives based upon the user-defined business requirements.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area is required

Must have delivered 3 or more BI projects, in a technical lead / lead developer capacity to, successful completion

Proficient with Transact SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) with ability to write most complex queries

Experience with Financial Data interpretation and analysis desired

Must have a clear understanding of BI, Data Warehouse operating environments and related technologies

Ability to design multidimensional data warehouse structures such as relational, star and snowflake schemas, cubes, etc.

Strong business and analytical skills including direct interaction with business end-users for requirements analysis

Proven ability facilitating negotiation of competing requirements among stakeholders

Proficient in developing use cases, functional and technical requirements

Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills

Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary

Comfortable working in a small company environment

MicroStrategy certification is desired

Microsoft certification is a plus

Proficient knowledge of data design/data modeling and experience using data modeling tools a plus
