Job Description:
HP IT is very complex SAP environment that cuts across multiple SAP instances including R/3, BW/BI, APO, XI/PI and NetWeaverSAP landscape. Prefer varied SAP experience across Technical and Application Level for ABAP, JAVA, SAP SD/MMor SAP BI. Varied industry experience with a focus in Supply Chain offers a broader scope on business perspectives. The candidate must be able to manage the technical project delivery requirements for a number of SAP Full Life Cycle implementations, includingengaging large off-shore development teams.
REQUIREMENTS
• Participates as a key member of SAP Center of Excellence (COE) / Performance Tuning Optimization team withinGlobal Information Technology Services SAP Technology Team.
• Performs sophisticated analysis of cross functional and complex ABAP code being developed to support specificBusiness requirements.
• Performs code design reviews on complex cross-functional service solutions. A preponderance of time is spentin tactical and creative problem solving.
• Participates in the development of innovative multi-team solutions to complex problems.
• Demonstrates broad technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction; exerts influence outside ofimmediate team and drives change.
• Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior SAP solutions for HP and customers.
• Mentors and consults with team members and other organizations, customers and vendors on complex issues.
• Mentors and assists other less experienced team members.
• Independently resolves highly complex technical issues within multiple technical areas.
• Partners with members of multiple teams as appropriate; may be asked to lead COE technical team while resolving key issues. Identifies potential escalations and proactively alerts management; leads and escalates through L3; engages in resolution at L2.
• Proactively searches for issues and provides solutions to prevent problems from occurring in areas beyond those of immediate responsibility.
• Independently reviews and manages highly complex and high risk changes to critical business systems. Leads or participates in the Change Advisory or Technical Advisory Board.
• Mentors others in the technology community; may publish or otherwise engage professionally outside of HP. Pan-HP influence and impact.
• Participates on multi-geography cross - functional teams.
• Develops innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• - Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Mandatory knowledge of SAP ABAP development for 5 years and SAP production support troubleshooting and debugging capability experience for 5+ years.
• Must have excellent capability to debug and trouble shoot SAP BADI, BAPI/ALE, PI and WSDL component.
• Must have knowledge on R/3 BW data load trouble shooting and should have build SAP BW/BI custom Info cubes,Process chains and custom extract programs.
• Functional SAP experience of one SAP application module (e.g. Sales, Purchase, Services or Inventory etc) is required.
Although we are always focused on latest SAP technology but should be willing to work on LSMW and SAP script on demand basis.
SOFT SKILLS:
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills.
• Leadership experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating system, hardware, data center, security, network, voice, end user and server / web related applications).
• Leadership experience with business Information Technology (IT) applications (e.g. supply chain, customer relationship mgmt., Human Resources (HR), finance).
• Leadership experience with implementation, problem analysis and delivering solutions for infrastructure and businessapplication environments.
• Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity.
• Strong problem solving, priority setting, and collaboration skills.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility and self-confidence.
• Demonstrated ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
• Demonstrated influencing skills, high level of technical and team leadership skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Experience in varied roles: Technical Team Lead, Data Migration Team Lead, Technical Upgrade Lead, DevelopmentTeam lead involving in designing the Architectural patterns, Code Build, Code Reviews, Technical Designs, DesignReviews.
• Skilled in the use of Continuous Improvement techniques for the on-going performance improvement of business andIT processes.
• Significant analytical and assessment skills
• Good understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), ITILv3
• Would like certifications (ABAP Workbench, others preferable)
• Six Sigma certification a plus
