Devops Engineer
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6+ months
Responsibilities
• Applies full understanding of the business, the customer, and the solutions that a business offers to effectively design, develop, and implement operational capabilities, tools and processes that enable highly available, scalable & reliable customer experiences
• Utilizes their deep knowledge of operations engineering, connected services, and information technology plus their knowledge of industry best practices to innovate and influence operational approaches and solutions
• Includes creating, developing & managing the deployment architecture for the application
• Developing the monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts
Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years related experience
• Skills required include Scripting (Shell, Perl, CGI, etc.), Networking and Apache Web Server
• Prior experience in launching and hosting highly available applications in AWS
• Experience with administering Tomcat & JBoss
• Monitoring tools (Wily, NewRelic, Splunk etc) setup and configuration
• Trouble shooting production issues
• Performance tuning of App/Web tier
• End to End System Administration
