SAP Tester
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12 Months
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams like business users, Global Process Owners, SAP Implementation partner, Align IT teams
• Ability to analyze project documents in order to prepare effective test plans and test cases for SAP modules like OTC, RTR, STS and PTM.
• Comfortable publishing project sites, plans, and documentation using tools such as Excel, Word, wikis, and MS Project.
• Ability to troubleshoot and quickly come up with solutions related to networks, systems integration between SAP and other applications.
• Ability to quickly understand cross SAP module issues and reporting immediately to senior management and GPO's.
• Team Work: Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities. Willing to go the extra mile to accomplish team goals, must be driven.
• Dependability: Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure.
• Initiative: Tackles problems and takes independent action, seeks out new responsibilities, acts on opportunities, generates new ideas, practices self-development.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent past experience with multiple SAP functional testing
• Excellent knowledge of SAP configuration and process flows
• Excellent knowledge of SAP Master and Transaction data concepts
• Excellent knowledge of OTC (SD) and RTR (Finance) modules
• Good knowledge of procurement and production processes in SAP
• Nice to understand variant configuration process in SAP
• Good past experience with a large end-to-end SAP implementation
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships and work across multi-functional organizations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5-7 years of work experience as SAP SQA engineer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of large-scale SAP implementation projects
• HP QTP and Quality Center experience is highly preferred.
• Testing of SAP OTC (SD) is a must.
• Working knowledge of software development life-cycle SAP ASAP methodology is a must.
• Prior experience in working with Integration and deployment of enterprise applications.
• Understanding of databases, web applications, and ERP applications.
