-- The main thesis is that fandom's decades-long history of ignoring and tacitly condoning sexual harassment is one of the leading reasons that it continues to be a problem, and published and enforced harassment policies are a leading cure.
It's my opinion that the primary threat to the image of gaming in culture at the moment is not moral panic (which hasn't been targeted at us in quite some time) or society's dislike of geeks (who are currently relatively acceptable) but the actual bad actors in the community who are tarnishing its reputation and those who enable them.
We have the largest convention calendar in the industry, as far as I know; perhaps we could do something positive with it? Let me know if you'd be interested in working on such a project.
