Must-Haves
M.S. or B.S. degree in Computer Science
Experience with Object-oriented languages (C++, Java, etc.) and knowledge of object-oriented paradigms
Knowledge of scripting and functional languages
Knowledge of testing (unit, integration, regression and performance)
Familiarity with traditional (CVS, SVN, etc) and distributed version control systems (git, Bazaar, etc)
Familiarity with relational databases using SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, etc)
Familiarity with Unix/Linux/OS X/Windows

Day-to-Day
This position is part of a laboratory for storage and analysis of data generated in the clinical ICUs and a tele-medicine center. The projects will require architecture, design and implementation of a data repository to enable the application of novel and established discovery tools. The software developer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design architecture of overall system and reusable building blocks;
Algorithm and data structure development for extraction of clinical data from electronic medical records and physiologic monitors;
Production and documentation of high-quality programs;
Implementation of proper testing techniques
